Our Purpose
Apologia Anglicana is a Western Orthodox publisher, dedicated to promoting and facilitating the reception of the Prayer Book Tradition into the Orthodox Catholic Church. As faithful sons of the Church, it is our paramount priority that all of our publications, as well as our manners of life, be in conformity to and continuity with our Orthodox tradition (Ex Scripturis, per Patres, in Hoc Saeculum), in Catholic Communion with our shepherds, and in a missionary spirit to those outside of the Church.

We work to witness to the Catholicity of the Orthodox Church and the richness which is brought into her by the Anglican tradition.

The Saint Botolph's Breviary contains everything for the Daily Office from the 2025 Proposed Book of Common Prayer, Second Edition. In addition to this, the necessary elements for a fuller celebration of the Office are provided. The full Hymns, Antiphons, and Versicles (along with the rest of the Fast and Feast Days) are supplied from the Monastic Office.

With the publication of the 2025 Proposed Book of Common Prayer, the essential rites and propers for the English Orthodox tradition were made widely available. And with the subsequent publication of the Prayer Book Hymnal, the remaining propers and hymns were likewise provided. However, since most priests are accustomed to using a single book for the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, and since there remained to be published propers for the Lenten Ferias and Holy Week, we are happy and joyous to publish this Mass book: the Saint Botolph's Missal, named in honour of the patron saint of our city.
This provides everything necessary for the offering of the Holy Mass, nothing excepted, with notation where necessary, thus completing our publication of the core liturgical books.
We pray that this provide great benefit and convenience to Orthodox priests celebrating the Anglican Mass, and also to researchers interested in English Orthodox liturgics.

The Prayer Book Hymnal is a supplement to the 2025 Proposed Book of Common Prayer, First Edition (BCP). It provides the Office propers (with hymn notation) for every Feast Day of the Church Year. Additionally, it contains the propers of the Mass for all Feast Days not found in the BCP. This is present along with Services for the Office and Mass, noted Ferial Hymns, and other paraliturgical hymns. And for extra benefit in a parish context, there is a selection of devotional hymns most desirous through the year.
